{LOCAL GIVEAWAY} Delmar Farmers Market

Paul Tick, Market Manager of the Delmar Farmers Market contacted me about a possible giveaway to celebrate the upcoming opening day of their market, this Saturday June 4th from 9am to 1pm at the Bethlehem Central Middle School, 332 Kenwood Ave. Delmar, NY.

I jumped at the chance to do a little something to entice our readership to shop at their local farmers market! This market is growing by leaps & bounds; there are now over 50 vendors including our friends All Good Bakers. The Market features local, organic and natural farm products, baked goods, local and fair trade crafts, and music.  All of their vendors come from within 35 miles of the market.

This Saturday there will be llamas and children’s face painting and activities to entertain your small human-like beings. More information on their Facebook page.

The market has kindly given us a $10 GIFT CERTIFICATE to be given out to one lucky reader. The lucky reader will be selected from the comments below (one comment per person). The winner’s name will be given to Paul and the gift certificate will be available for pick-up at the market table on June 4th and June 11th. It can be used at any vendor’s table. The winner MUST be able to pick up the gift certificate at either the first or second market (06/4/11 or 06/11/11). The gift certificate will expire the last market day of the 2011 season on December 17, 2011.

The giveaway runs from today (Tuesday, May 31st until 6pm on Friday, June 3rd).

To enter tell us what summer food you are most looking forward to. Good Luck!
