{PHOTO DIARY} mohawk hudson marathon

What I witnessed yesterday was too extraordinary for description.  An inspirational day that I will not forget for a long, long time. Sarah, Amanda and running partner, Ben, accomplished something that few individuals even attempt to do, let alone complete, including myself.

Congratulations on such a significant achievement!

Side note: We didn’t get to meet author, Mark Bittman, but I spotted him at many points along the race. He is the man, next to the yield sign, in the photo above.  He ran a great race! He looked calm, cool and collected – congrats to you too Mr. Bittman.

Don’t forget that there is one more week to enter
our giveaway for Bittman’s new book, Food Matters Cookbook.

Thanks Sally. It was an amazing day! Thank you Chris for capturing this event in our lives that we will never forget. I love this quote about running a marathon: “No matter how slow or fast once you cross that finish line your life will never be the same.”

I gotta go with Amanda on this one and say thank you soooooo very much Chris for documenting this momentous occasion for us. It’s a day that all of us will remember forever and it is indeed life changing.

I read a great quote on another blog that says “At the end of the day your time will not matter, it is the memories you build along the path.” – Tall Mom on the Run (http://www.tallmomontherun.com).

Thanks for cementing our memories for us and for the shout out on the blog in such a non food related way! 🙂

Congrats on a great run! I hope to stick a 26.2 sticker on my vehicle next year! 🙂
