{photo diary} CSA Share: Week 3

As a hobby photographer since the age of 13, I don’t get much chance to spread my artistic wings… so I’ve decided to document EVERYTHING from our Denison Farm CSA 2010 season. Every piece of produce is getting face time.

I am a Round Laker, so here’s what we got- Scallions, Fennel, Broccoli Rabe, Swiss Chard, Flat Leaf Parsley, and two bags of Spinach and Mesclun Greens. Please note the spinach is represented by the lovely lemony, sunflower seedy sea salty pesto I made before the photo shoot (ooops!) I had a TON of spinach in the frig from a shopping spree at Honest Weight Food Coop last Thursday, so I need to do something with the entire share and what’s better than a pesto!

The swiss chard will be my challenge this week. I don’t prepare it. ever. I need inspiration ladies!!!

I know each pick location share can vary- So what did you receive?

Chris! Those pictures rock. You’re fantastic. Here’s what the Troy location got this week:
Broccoli, Swiss Chard, Flat Leaf Parsley, Scallions, Chinese Cabbage, lg bag of spinach, lg bag of mescalin greens. I’m excited about everything except the Chinese Cabbage. I just don’t know how to use it all!
