An FSC food swap at a Greenmarket?
Why yes we did!
…and boy was it fun!
Thank you to Swappers and Schenectady Greenmarket Board Members Jennifer, Julie & Wendy (who is also a FSC Contributor) for making the swap happen with their tireless planning before, after & during the swap.
Another big ‘thank you’ shout-out to FSC Contributors Pirate Jeni & Lauren and FSC Swapper Linda for helping during the swap, as they had the job of answering various questions from very swap-curious Greenmarket customers.
What made this swap really special, besides being at a Greenmarket where swappers could shop & attend a sway without leaving the building was the fact that we allowed any ‘swap-curious’ Greenmarket customer to register for a ticket , so they could hope across the ropes and sample swap loot, ask questions and talk food!
We were in a Greenmarket vendor space next to the GE Theater.
As usual, the swap loot was carefully crafted and displayed.
Once all the swappers arrived, its was a backed house!
Thank you to all that made the 1st Schenectady Greenmarket Swap a success, including the amazing Greenmarket Board Members & the welcoming customers.

Our next FSC Swappers Schenectady Food Swap will be again at the Schenectady Greenmarket, Sunday April 7th Noon-1:30pm. Save the date, tickets will be available mid-March!

What a great match the swap and greenmarket seem to be! I bet the people you allowed in as vistors loved being able to see what the swap was all about. I haven’t been to the schenectady greenmarket yet. I iwll have to attend soon. Hope to see you there.
This was such a fun swap! I really like the venue. The spouse and I are going to try to get to the market one of these Sunday’s very soon.
