{FSC Time Machine} Winter Projects in 2012

As I stated in our first post of our “Best of 2012” series, Gardening in 2012, for the next handful of weekends I’ll be jumping on the FSC Time Machine to create recap-posts on the different topics we covered in 2012.

Its not the weekend you say? I know I know… I was too excited to wait to share some fun projects we covered that would be perfect to start on a wintery day like today… DIY Deodorant, Vegetable Stock, Tofu From Scratch, Homemade Butter, Hand Pies, Jillian’s Juicing Journey and Britin’s Fire Cider recipe!

Jillian’s Juicing Journey w/ two juice recipes:
Carrot/Apple/Mint and Swiss Chard/Apples/Mint.

Dianna made Tofu from scratch… after reading that post, then read about growing your own soybeans!

Heather’s version of Homemade Yogurt: In her well-used & loved dehydrator

CHRISTINE veggie stock 2
Christine shows us how to freeze vegetable scrapes for vegetable stock!

Gina’s Kimchi Project, Gina’s Riff, inspired by our 2nd FSC Book Club Selection

All finished and in the jar. On top of the jar are the essential oils I used.
Erika’ Homemade Deodorant

Deanna’s Three-Berry PopTarts.

Christine's Shake Butter In A Jar
Christine’s post on Making Butter in a Mason Jar- shake shake shake!

(This is a great project to do with the kids on a snowy day!)

Liz’s English Muffin Bread

Becky’s “How to” Make Fancy Hi-Hat Cupcakes (WOW!)

Apple Cider Vinegar, Honey, Horseradish and Ginger Roots, Garlic, Onion, Orange, Habanero Peppers and Ground Tumeric.

Britin’s VERY popular Homemade Fire Cider Recipe
(full discloser: this is a post from Nov 2011, but its the most viewed and its cold season, so I thought it could be helpful.)
