{Albany Food Swap: Lavender cookies by Swapper Nicole}
To celebrate our December Food Swaps, which will be traditional cookie & recipe swaps, I am doing a little recipe link love to some absolutely fabulous cookie recipes I’m seeing all over the interwebs these days!
+++
First up, Our friend Kate Payne has a Gluten-Free Sugar Cookies & Cookie Sandwiches.
Melissa Clark at The New York Times has a GREAT (do it!) version of “easier linzer cookies” that I think we all need to try this holiday season! I am! I have TONS of jams from the summer…. Nom.
FSC Contributor, Becky, over at her blog The Mixing Bowl Diary, has an entire category dedicated to Gluten & Dairy Free cookies including Gingerbread Whoopie Pies w/ Maple Syrup and Double Chocolate Cookies with Peanut Butter Frosting.
MADE has a Double Dark Chocolate Pomegrante Cookies – Y.U.M.
Peppermint Dark Chocolate Cookies by Layla Grace (see a theme here- I have not only cranberries but also chocolate on the brain)
The always fabulous Mrs. Wheelbarrow has a Bacon Jam Rugelach. Yes Please!
Primal Palette has a Grain-Free Gingerbread Family made with Almond Flour.
The Naptime Chef has a Snickerdoodle Eggnog Sandwich Cookie and Double Chocolate & Peppermint Shortbread Cookies
Bakingdom has a cookie inside a cookie recipe, Chocolate Cookiolis.
Country Living as a great idea that has been spreading like wild fire on Pinterest, Candycane-shaped sugar cookies with regular sugar cookie dough. Page 5 of this 13 page “Holiday Cookie Recipe Post” will have all the details.
Tracy over at the always glamorous blog, Shutterbean, has a great adaption of Coconut Lime Bars that frankly I am making for the cookie swaps as I see this easily made gluten free. Thank you Tracy!
Good Life Eats has a Pistachio Orange Crescent Cookies.
Food52 has an Old Fashioned Sour Cream Cookie recipe.
What is there to say about these gems?! Annie’s Eats has little tiny apple pie cookies- Ah-mazing!
For frosting & piping creative inspiration: Rockstar blogger & cookbook author, Bakerella, brings us has homemade graham crackers (frosted to look like the Instagram Logo) and gingerbread heads and Santa & Elf sugar cookies.
Weekly Bite has a Cranberry & Walnut Biscotti. I love me some biscotti and we all know I still have cranberry on the brain. Maybe I will make these (minus the walnuts due to Miles’ allergy) to go along with home-roasted coffee holiday gifts… the wheeeeels are turning…
Finally, From the FSC Archives: Sarah’s Peanut Butter & Chocolate Cookies and Jillian’s Easy Toffee Cookies pictured above. Note to self: We need more cookie recipes on the blog.
